Back to work!

It feels great to be back to work on Super Galaxy Boy! There are a lot of things moving and the next 6 months are going to be really trying but I am confident in my ability to get it done.

First, I want to quickly cover the roadmap one more time:

  • Aug-Oct: Alpha builds roll out.
  • Nov-Dec: Start of Beta!
  • Jan 2018: Release!
  • Feb 2018: (Free) Co-op missions update!

Second, a new alpha build will be going out at the end of August with more frequent updates following! With each build I invite more people!

Third, This week’s development is focused on new art for interactable items and new monsters for Worlds 2 and 3.

As part of the AI for monsters I am expanding the different ‘flavors’ to create some very interesting and challenging enemies that interact with the word.

Next week I will introduce a new world styles and a handful of new enemies I think you’ll love! The challenge really begins when we get away from the ‘learning levels’ and start forcing the player to ‘get good.’

World 3 is on that list and introduces a new type of theme and it is generating quite the buzz! Here is a very early sneak peek!
